GETTING TO GEORGE BUSH INTERCONTINENTAL AIRPORT:
George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) is located about 20 miles north of downtown Houston. As a primary hub for United Airlines, IAH serves a large number of domestic and international destinations.
The airport is conveniently located between I-45 and I-69/U.S. Highway 59 while also delivering direct access to the Hardy Toll Road Expressway and the Sam Houston Tollway (Beltway 8). This central location makes it easy to arrive via vehicle. The primary routes that most travelers take when driving to IAH are John F. Kennedy Boulevard from either the Sam Houston Tollway or the Hardy Toll Road or traveling on Will Clayton Parkway from U.S. Highway 59/I- 69.
The Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County (METRO) provides public bus services to and from Terminal C of IAH. The 102 Bush IAH Express is the bus that serves the George Bush International Airport. This route offers a multitude of stops, including the METRO station in the downtown area, Greenspoint Transit Center, and more. A one-way fare is $1.25 and only cash is accepted. A ride from the downtown are will last between 50 and 90 minutes, so be sure to plan accordingly. Both pick-up and drop-off are at the METRO Bus Stop on Baggage Claim Level, located on the south side of Terminal C.
Travelers can also choose to take a taxi to IAH. Approximate fares for a one-way trip are $57 to downtown, $65 to the Galleria/Medical Center area, $78 to Hobby Airport, and $102 to the NASA Space Center. Rideshare companies that serve IAH are Lyft, Uber, Get Me

PARKING AT GEORGE BUSH INTERCONTINENTAL AIRPORT:
Parking at George Bush Intercontinental Airport is made easy and convenient with a myriad of options to fit any budget and travel preference. For the most premium George Bush Intercontinental Airport parking experience, be sure to look into the valet parking option. This service is available inside all of the terminal parking garages for $28 per day. Customers will enjoy covered parking spaces along with a complimentary bottle of water and a USA Today.
Frequent travelers to IAH will enjoy the peace of mind that comes with guaranteed parking for members of the SurePark program. The designated parking area for members is located on Level 3 of Terminal C, C-East Garage. The rate for a 24-hour period is $26. Travelers can also choose from the five terminal garages, with rates starting at $5 for the first hour and rising to $24 for a 24-hour period.
The best on-site value for IAH parking can be had at the eco-park and ecopark2 lots. The eco-park lot is located on JFK Boulevard while the ecopark2 lot is on Will Clayton Parkway. Both lots provide complimentary shuttle transportation to and from the terminal buildings. There are uncovered and covered spots at eco-park and only covered stalls at ecopark2. Rates average between $5-7 per 24-hour period, depending on if you choose the covered or uncovered stalls.

GETTING AROUND INSIDE GEORGE BUSH INTERCONTINENTAL AIRPORT:
IAH is divided into five terminals and 130 gates. The Skyway people mover provides airside connections between all five terminals as well as the International Arrivals Building with four stops. The subway offers landside connections between all five terminals and the Marriott. Despite its large size, it is easy to get around IAH with these convenient transport options.
A wide array of restaurants at IAH cater to every budget and time constraint. For a nice sit-down meal, check out either Olio or Ember. For an upscale French dining experience, be sure to not miss Le Grand Comptoir. Or you can indulge yourself in some of Houston's favorite local institutions with a meal at Pappasito's, Bam Bam, Whataburger, or Ray’s BBQ Shack. If you want to grab a drink before your flight, there are plenty of options for you to choose from. You will find a bevy of craft brews at the American Craft Tavern and Brewster Beer Garden or assorted spirits at Black Hat Whiskey Room. If wine is more your speed, you will want to stop into Tony’s Wine Cellar for a glass or two.
In addition to the host of usual airport retail offerings, IAH also offers many local shops that showcase the true culture and spirit of Texas. Travelers can access the hotel via the inter-terminal train, running approximately every three minutes.
