april hotel deals top destinations

If you’ve come into some money this tax return season and you have some flexibility with your schedule, why not treat yourself to a memorable trip? Despite flight prices usually being higher within 4 weeks of departure, we found that these 10 destinations have fabulous April flight deals. What’s usually the most expensive thing besides flights? Accommodation… We found hotel steals in each of these cities. So pick your favorite destination, pack a bag and enjoy a break this spring!

1. Orlando, FL

Orlando is a great destination year-round, but going in April makes it more affordable. If you avoid spring break week, you’ll find lower crowds, better weather and some of the cheapest prices this time of year. You can find cheap options here starting at $56/night. Our favorite? The Wyndham Orlando Resort International Drive at $99/night. The location is great. From the adjoining winery to the hotel’s prime location close to main attractions like Universal’s Volcano Bay.

2. Las Vegas, NV

Sin City is a very affordable getaway in April, especially for those living in the midwest or on the west coast. Accommodations are also reasonably-priced during the spring months, so you can spend more money at those casinos and less on getting there. There are hotel steals for Vegas as low as $79 per night. Our personal favorite is the Excaliber Hotel and Casino. Right on the strip and at the reasonable price of $107/night this a great option for a getaway. It’s on the Strip, and it even has an arcade room inside the hotel.

3. Cancun

There’s no need to wait until summer to get your toes in the sand and catch some waves. By traveling to Cancun in April (and avoiding spring break), you could score discounts of up to 50% on airfare and lodging. The hotel deals for Cancun are actually insane, starting with Hostel Inn Cancun as low as $10 per night. The hotel steal that caught our eye is the Hostal Urbano at $64 per night. Step out into your own private balcony to stare at the sky or enjoy a leisurely walk through the Urbano gardens. You’ll be feeling recharged in no time.

4. Palm Springs, CA

Festival lovers of the world will be thrilled to hear that airfare to Palm Springs from most of the country is relatively inexpensive right now. Snag cheap tickets and then party the weekend away at Coachella! The hotel prices in Palm Springs, CA are a bit pricey but they make up for it with the luxurious perks. The lower end of the spectrum for Palm Springs hotels is $249/night. Our personal favorite is the pricey but highly glam and super #instaworthy Villa Royale at $379/night. If you saved up a few pretty pennies for your travel this could be the perfect place to spend them.

5. Osaka, Japan

Osaka, Japan is one place that should top everyone’s bucket list every spring. And this year, flight prices are down a remarkable 33%, so you may be able to cross it off your list! Osaka is arguably the most beautiful spring-time destination with its delicate cherry blossoms that bloom all month long (and sometimes even through May). There are wild hotel steals in Osaka, Japan for April. The low end of the spectrum is $63 per night but also gorgeous, GR Hotel Esaka. Our personal favorite is Mitsui Garden Hotel Osaka Premier at $250/night, it’s a bit more pricey but would you just look at that pool? Luxe.

6. New York City

There’s no better time to visit the Big Apple than during spring months. You’ll find cheaper airfare and hotel rates before the onslaught of summer tourists. The weather is also just about perfect for enjoying Central Park and the observatory at the Empire State Building. You may even get lucky and spot a celebrity at the Tribeca Film Festival. The city that never sleeps can actually be a bit expensive when looking for hotels, starting with prices around $130/night. The hotel that really caught our eye was The Sherry Netherland, at a pricey $439 per night. It is a bit steep but the hotel design is celestial and dreamy as can be.

7. Bangkok, Thailand

If Thailand has been on your travel list for a while, consider going this April since flight prices are down more than 30 percent the usual cost! While you’re there, escape the hot April sun by participating in the Songkran, essentially a water fight that spans the entire country, a celebration for the New Year. There are some major hotel steals in Bangkok, starting as low as $12. Our favorite (which is a huge steal) is The O-Zone Airport Inn at $20 per night, and it is adorable. Don’t worry about spending too much money on food either, the street food is super affordable.

If you’ve been waiting for an airfare price drop for the Mile-High City, now’s your time to act; Hopper is predicting price drops of more than 40%! Denver is especially welcoming to those who love the outdoors. Enjoy your time there climbing mountains, hiking trails or enjoying the cleanest downtown in America.
