If you really want to feel 4th of July at its finest then make your way to San Diego. Barbecues, fireworks, beer, and bonfires is what you can expect in sunny San Diego—specifically Pacific Beach.
Boston, MA
Oh Boston. Such a beautiful city. Boston has over 200 events on July 4th. The Boston Harborfest is on July 1st with many other events throughout the week, so make sure to get work off and book a whole week to Boston. Many of the events are free and range from fireworks, concerts, kids’ days, cruises, tours, and a lot more.
Chicago, IL
With Chicago being cold for most of the year, July is a month to definitely travel there. The amazing weather combined with 4th of July is a recipe for a great weekend. They have colorful fireworks which is set to patriotic music and they light up the entire sky.
