Spotlight on Indiana – Stonycreek Farm Pumpkin Harvest Festival

This week, we hear from Michele in Customer Service, about one of her favorite hometown autumn traditions!

Our family discovered Stonycreek Farm many years ago when our daughters were in preschool. This year we will continue the tradition and take our 5 month old granddaughter.

Your visit can begin with a hayride to the pumpkin patch to pick out pumpkins, a great photo op. There is also a giant straw pile that the kids love to jump in. If you’re hungry, the Country Market serves lunch as well as apple dumplings and elephant ears.

Don’t forget to visit the farm animals with a feeding station to feed the donkeys and goats.

There’s also an inflatable kid-friendly haunted house as well as the inflatable Kiddiepillar that small children can crawl through.

Groups can enjoy an evening hayride party with a bonfire. Remember to reserve early as the dates fill up fast.

On the weekends there are also vendors who offer demonstrations and sell crafts. You can try out the bicycle powered grist mist and take home a bag of ground wheat. Visit “Beeswax Betty” and make your own candles; even children can join in making candles. Lily’s Soap Kitchen offers handmade natural and organic soaps. Bob Hoffman’s hand-cast pewter figurines are also available for sale.

There are event caricatures and pony rides Saturday and Sunday as well as kid’s basket weaving.

The festival begins on September 29th and goes through October 31st, and runs 7 days a week from 10 AM to 5 PM. There are activities for all ages and many are free. The address for Stonycreek Farm is 11366 SR 38 East, Noblesville Indiana 46060.
